Haven Home is a residential-school management platform currently preparing for limited pilot use. This policy explains, at a high level, how Haven Home handles information on its public website and information processed through school deployments of the Haven Home application.

1. Participating schools and school data

Participating schools generally determine what student, guardian, staff, housing, health, registration, leave, presence, and other operational information is entered into their Haven Home deployment and which authorized users may access it. Haven Home provides the software and supporting services used to process that information.

A school's agreement with Haven Home, the school's own policies, and applicable law may provide additional requirements or rights. Where those documents apply, they should be read together with this policy.

2. Information on the public website

The public Haven Home website provides information about the product and does not currently provide school user accounts or accept student records. If you contact Haven Home by email, we receive the contact information and message content you choose to provide so we can respond.

The public site does not currently use third-party advertising trackers, and Haven Home does not sell personal information.

3. Information processed through Haven Home

Depending on the features a school uses, Haven Home may process information such as names, contact details, school identifiers, guardian relationships, residential assignments, registration information, leave and transportation details, presence and accountability records, health-related operational information, medication workflow records, and staff or user account information.

The exact information processed varies by school configuration and the workflows the school chooses to use.

4. How information is used

Haven Home processes information to provide and secure the service, support authorized school workflows, deliver account and operational communications, maintain audit and operational records, troubleshoot problems, and improve the reliability of the platform.

Haven Home does not use school application data for third-party advertising.

5. Service providers and infrastructure

Haven Home may use infrastructure, hosting, storage, database, email-delivery, monitoring, and other technical service providers to operate the platform. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to Haven Home.

Haven Home evaluates its infrastructure and providers as the platform develops and may change providers when reasonably necessary for security, reliability, performance, or operations.

6. Email and communications

Haven Home may send account, security, and school-operational email to students, guardians, staff, and other recipients associated with participating schools. Some optional communication categories may be controlled through recipient email preferences, while messages reasonably necessary for account security or required school operations may continue to be sent.

7. Security

Haven Home uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information and limit access according to role and operational need. No system can guarantee absolute security, and Haven Home does not represent that any particular certification or security standard has been independently attested unless expressly stated.

8. Retention

Information is retained for periods reasonably necessary to provide the service, support school operations, maintain security and audit records, meet contractual obligations, and address legal or operational requirements. Retention may also depend on the participating school's configuration, policies, and agreement with Haven Home.

9. Requests and corrections

Students, guardians, and staff seeking access to or correction of school-controlled records should generally begin with their school. Haven Home may assist participating schools with appropriate requests when required by the applicable service relationship.

10. Changes to this policy

Haven Home may update this policy as the service develops. The current version will be posted on this page with its latest revision date.
