Terms of Service

These Terms of Service describe the general conditions for access to and use of Haven Home. Haven Home is currently preparing for limited school pilots. Participating schools may also have a separate pilot, service, or subscription agreement with Haven Home. If a school agreement conflicts with these general terms, the school agreement controls for that school.

1. Service purpose

Haven Home provides software for residential and boarding-school operations, including workflows related to onboarding, accountability and presence, leave, housing, communication, health operations, and related administrative activities.

2. Authorized use

Access to a school deployment of Haven Home is limited to users and recipients authorized by the participating school or by Haven Home for legitimate service administration. Users must use Haven Home only for lawful school, residential-life, support, or administrative purposes within the access granted to them.

3. School responsibilities

Participating schools are responsible for determining which users should have access to their deployment, selecting appropriate roles and permissions, maintaining accurate school-controlled information, and using the platform consistently with their own policies and applicable obligations.

Schools should not enter information into Haven Home that they are not authorized to collect, use, or disclose.

4. Account and security responsibilities

Users with accounts must protect their credentials and should not share access with unauthorized people. Suspected unauthorized access or account compromise should be reported promptly to the participating school or to Haven Home.

5. Acceptable use

Users may not attempt to bypass access controls, access another school's data without authorization, interfere with service operation, introduce malicious code, use Haven Home for unlawful harassment or abuse, or use the service in a way that materially threatens the security or reliability of the platform.

6. Service availability and changes

Haven Home is an evolving early-stage service. Features, interfaces, infrastructure, and operational procedures may change as the platform develops. Haven Home works to provide reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

7. Communications

Use of Haven Home may involve account, security, and school-operational communications. Optional communication categories may provide recipient preference controls. See the Email & Communications Policy for additional information.

8. Privacy

Information processed through Haven Home is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, applicable school agreements, and participating school policies.

9. Intellectual property

Haven Home and its software, design, documentation, branding, and related materials remain the property of Haven Home or their respective licensors. Participating schools retain their rights in the information they provide or control through their deployment, subject to the permissions necessary for Haven Home to operate the service.

10. Third-party services

Haven Home may depend on third-party infrastructure and service providers for hosting, databases, storage, communications, monitoring, or other technical functions. Those dependencies may affect service availability or functionality.

11. Pilot and school agreements

For a participating school, specific pilot terms, service periods, fees, support commitments, cancellation rights, data-transition obligations, and other commercial terms are governed by that school's applicable agreement with Haven Home.
